My Week #4: January 29 to February 4

Hi everyone

So I kind of lost touch with blogging. I feel like I’m not good enough when it comes to blogging. So I’ve kind of lost interest but now I’m back again with a My Week. I get excited when it comes to My Week posts because I can actually write about stuff that’s interesting and I get to let you know what’s happening in my life. I didn’t post it on Monday as I was so tired after work. I am posting it today. I might do another post later on.

I missed January 22 to January 28 because I didn’t want to post any photos of my weekly spread as I had a bit of a conflict with the sticker’s designer so I didn’t want to post any photos of her stickers (that I bought). I then I thought posts would be boring without photos  so I didn’t post anything. Blogging takes a lot of thought, time and effort I realised.

But now I will do a My Week post from January 29 to February 4. I can’t believe it’s February now! I might do a January favourites later on but I’m not sure yet. On Monday January 29, I had work from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Tuesday was my day off but I didn’t really do much on Tuesday. My parents left for a 2 week cruise on the 27th Jan so I’m busy looking after their house and garden in the mean time. I went to check on their house on Tuesday and my sister had a parcel delivered to their house so I went to give it to her and also played with my two nieces for a while and helped out at my sister’s house.

On Wednesday January 31, I had work from 7:35 AM – 5:40 PM then on Thursday I had work from 8:20 AM to 4:30 PM. I’ve been getting more clients at work, which means more hours. I’ve been working about 30 to 35 hours a week lately whereas before I was only working 20 to 25 hours but it varies that’s why I hope to look for a permanent job so it’s more stable. However, I’m a bit torn as I don’t want to leave my job as I love the company I am working for.

On Friday, I had work from 7:35 AM to 3:00 PM and then I had a really busy weekend. Friday night, I had my friend Mike’s birthday at NOLA. I had always wanted to go to NOLA but had never been able too so I’m glad I got to go for Mike’s birthday. It was fun! Their cocktails were amazing.

Saturday was a long day as I had work from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. I asked work if I could finish early on Saturday as sometimes I work the whole day on Saturday so I let work know if I could finish by 2 PM in advance. I had my best friend’s 30th on Saturday so it was important that I attend. It was a lovely day as some of us stayed until late to play games and eat pizza after the birthday cake and speeches were done in the afternoon. It was just a low key gathering with her family and friends. I’m glad she could come down to Adelaide for it. We left at around 9:30 PM so I was pretty tired by the end of it as I had work in the morning and then went straight to the party after having a bit of a rest at home. So I was out for 11 hours that day. It was also a nice day as it was sunny and not too hot. I was partied out by Sunday but still had another birthday party to go too.

It was my third birthday party for that weekend. It was crazy but important as they are my close friends so I should attend them. On Sunday, I went to Holey Moley for a 26th birthday party where we played mini golf. It was so much fun as it had a bar too and lots of photo opportunities as each hole had a theme.

We only played 9 holes but it was challenging and tiring enough. Next time we will do the other course. We then went to have dinner at Ramen and Izakaya Himeji on Grote St. It was nice but service was a bit poor. Dishes came out a bit slow but they were busy that night and one of the waiters left after only taking two of our orders but it was just misunderstanding. I got home at around 10 PM so I had two long days but I didn’t do much in the morning on Sunday. I didn’t take my aunty out for lunch otherwise it would have been a really long day. It was a busy weekend but a great weekend. I’m glad I got to attend them.

How was your weekend? Happy reading!

Love Nat xx

    1. It seems like you always know what to write in your blog. I admire your writing skills. I just write what is in my head and don’t use big words to attract audiences like you do. I hope for a quieter weekend this weekend. Jealous you got snow. It’s really hot here. Have a great week!

      1. No, we r tired from the snow 🙂 too long winter 3-4 month, no fun at all 🙂 difficult to go out as well, but i’m doing anyway, because shopping, dogs etc :))
Oh, believe me, often I dont know what to write..thats why I’ve started to plan post for a week, I’m writing down what I’ll post (for every day, in my notebook) and I’m trying to stick to that plan. Otherwise it is easy to slip and just forget about blogging, writing..
also i’m reading at least 1 book a week, so always saving me, because i can write a review :))
find something you are doing often or like and write about it 🙂
im glad i can see ur page again haha

      2. That’s a good idea. A plan for the week will help. I did a plan in one of my posts but it was for the year.
However, I learnt that different things happen each day and you may not be able to do the posts every week so it’s best to do a plan weekly instead of yearly. Having a notebook to write your ideas down is a good idea.
Yes, have to go out even if it’s cold it can be a struggle. Our winters can feel long too especially if raining all the time. I would prefer snow than the rain I think. Strange how you couldn’t see my page and other bloggers too but I am glad you can now.

      3. yes, i think it will work better for you: plan for a week for example 3 posts, think what you’ll write and…see how it goes 🙂
